The Newsroom is a new HBO series set behind the scenes at Atlantis Cable News (ACN). Jeff Daniels plays the anchor Will and Emily Mortimer (Hugo) his new executive producer Mackenzie MacHal.
The newsroom staff is completed with Alison Pill (The Pillars of the Earth), who plays Maggie and John Gallagher Jr., who plays Jim. Dev Patel (Slumdog Millionaire) plays Neal, Thomas Sadoski (As The World Turns) plays Don, and Sam Waterson (Law and Order) plays the boss Charlie Skinner.
The Newsroom premieres June 24.
